About the position

The Warehouse Worker position involves unloading waste from vehicles, ensuring proper staging for scanning and processing, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety regulations while performing various tasks related to waste management.

Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles.
• Separate non-autoclavable waste to be incinerated.
• Stage waste on conveyor system or properly stack waste for scanning in the Biotrack system.
• Scan waste into the Biotrack system for proper recordkeeping purposes.
• Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
• Place re-usable containers on tub wash line for decontamination.
• Operate tub wash unit ensuring it is functioning properly.
• Remove clean tubs from wash unit, inspect, and stack for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use.
• Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs ensuring it is functioning properly.
• Decontaminate vehicles' cargo-carrying portion and reload assigned re-usable tubs.
• Inform plant supervisor when the vehicle is ready to be moved from the dock area.
• Address housekeeping issues immediately, such as spills and debris on the floor.
• Assist in other areas of the plant operation as directed.

Requirements

• One year related experience or training, or a combination of experience and training.
• Strong communication skills and tact.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds.
• Knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid Pallet Jack Certification
