About the position

The Warehouse Worker/Product Returns Associate position at Performance Foodservice involves managing product returns, ensuring the quality of perishable items, and maintaining an organized returns area. The role is essential for supporting the company's operations by salvaging damaged products and adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Review damage sheets and damaged products to see what is salvageable.
• Re-box and re-label when possible and return the product to inventory.
• Sort returns and recoup salvageable product.
• Recoup product in the slots before it becomes damaged.
• Find opportunities for shrink improvement.
• Communicate with IC and Buyers on packaging or stacking issues from vendor.
• Put away dry, cooler, and frozen returns, keeping slots clear of products put away in incorrect slots.
• Maintain the quality of perishable products by ensuring proper rotation, monitor expiration dates, and communicate with inventory control any concerns.
• Relay issues of short-dated product to inventory control and handle product as necessary.
• Put away all returns each day.
• Keep equipment neat and organized (pallets, blankets, ice cream bags).
• Perform any other duties requested by supervision.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Keep returns area clean.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum age of 18
• Warehouse experience
