About the position
The Warehouse Worker/Temporary Cover Driver at UPS plays a dual role, primarily working as a warehouse worker and stepping in as a cover driver when needed. This position involves physical activity, customer interaction, and driving UPS trucks to deliver packages. The role is designed for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced work environment and are comfortable with both warehouse tasks and driving responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Work as a warehouse worker for 3 - 5 hours each day, Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday.
- Drive UPS trucks to deliver packages when functioning as a Temporary Cover Driver for 8 - 10 hours each day, Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday.
- Maintain excellent customer contact and driving skills while delivering packages.
- Adhere to assigned shifts based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact positively with customers.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
