About the position
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for managing the flow of goods within the warehouse efficiently. This includes tasks such as loading and unloading containers, picking and packing orders, and maintaining inventory. The role requires physical capability to handle heavy loads and attention to detail to ensure accurate processing of goods in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from delivery trucks and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
- Select items from inventory based on order specifications and prepare them for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Organize and stock shelves, racks, and pallets, maintaining accurate inventory and easy access for efficient picking.
- Safely lift and move boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, report discrepancies, and maintain organized storage areas.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols, wear protective equipment, and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
