About the position

Connect Staffing is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join a leading distribution company in North Houston. The role involves various warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, as well as operating forklifts and maintaining a clean workspace. This position offers the potential for overtime and the opportunity to be hired on as a full-time employee.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Place ropes and harnesses into 50 gallon buckets to get weighed and enclosed.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet company standards before shipping.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move products safely within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper labeling and storage of materials.
• Accurately receive, scan, and record incoming inventory and materials.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of recent warehouse experience.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours throughout shift.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience as a forklift operator, shipping and receiving, and order selector is a plus.
