About the position
The Yard Coordinator Dispatcher at OnTrac plays a vital role in managing the movement of trailers in and out of the yard facility. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while assisting drivers and coordinating with yard workers to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Check-in Vendors/Drivers upon arrival.
- Coordinate trailer movement with Management and Yard Switchers (Hostlers).
- Ensure proper dock setup and gear placement in the unload area.
- Perform thorough yard checks.
- Provide detailed reports on trailer pick-ups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of both.
- One year of leadership experience preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
