About the position

As a Warehouse Operator at Scan Global Logistics, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of receiving, loading, and preparing vehicles and cargo for international shipping. This position involves ensuring that cargo is handled efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall logistics process in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving by checking the condition of vehicles and cargo.
• Prepare and load vehicles and cargo into overseas containers for export.
• Load and unload cargo into/from overseas shipping containers.
• Receive cargo, issue condition reports, and take receiving pictures.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
• Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a stick shift vehicle.
• Full proficiency in English (read, write, converse); Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and self-motivation.
• Time management skills and basic computer literacy.
• Ability to operate basic tools and machinery, including a table saw and nail gun.
• Physical ability to lift/push loads up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift license (must be able to certify within the first six months of hire).
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
