About the position

The Material Handler position at Aerotek involves performing entry-level tasks to support the movement, storage, and packaging of inventory. This role is essential for ensuring that orders are pulled, prepared for shipment, and accurately packed for delivery. The position requires flexibility and the ability to work various shifts, particularly on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders and prepare orders for shipment
• Use an RF scanner to pick orders
• Pack orders into boxes for shipping
• Load and unload different transport items
• Record inventory statuses
• Ensure deliveries properly match purchase orders
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock
• Record location of inventory
• Report shortages
• Pull orders from inventory
• Deliver production materials and supplies where needed
• Stage finished product for final distribution
• Handle and move merchandise around the premises
• Manage the shipping and receiving of materials within a facility
• Use hand trucks, electric fork jacks, and forklifts

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Willingness to be flexible in a start-up phase
• Comfortable standing in one spot for entire shift
• Willingness to work in various locations throughout the distribution center
