About The Position

The Assistant Warehouseman at Cuivre River Electric is responsible for receiving and distributing materials to support the construction and maintenance of power lines. This role involves inventory control, documentation of material transactions, and ensuring the proper maintenance and storage of equipment, including oil-filled transformers. The position requires a commitment to safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in supply chain management preferred.
• At least one year of supply chain experience preferred, ideally in a utility environment.
• Knowledge of material management procedures and general math skills required.
• Ability to safely use tools and equipment in warehouse operations.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of electric utility operations is beneficial but not necessary.
• Willingness to attend courses related to the area of work.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute materials from inventory to support construction and maintenance of power lines.
• Complete paperwork and computer entries documenting receipts and distribution of materials.
• Provide maintenance and proper storage for oil-filled transformers and other line equipment.
• Conduct oil test sampling to ensure availability of functional equipment and compliance with environmental regulations.
