About the position
The Warehouseman position at Inland Power & Light Company involves managing the disposition of materials within the warehouse and operational areas of the cooperative. Responsibilities
- Receive freight deliveries and check packing slips, writing receiving reports and entering them into the computer.
- Use a forklift to unload freight and move items to storage areas in the yard and warehouse.
- Gather, issue, and return materials for work orders to line personnel as per staking sheets.
- Maintain and care for all warehouse facilities, grounds, and equipment, including buildings, hand trucks, shelving, and bins.
- Perform inventory control and manage the dispensing of tools and materials.
- Salvage and recover high-value items such as copper, aluminum, and tools for repair.
- Conduct general housekeeping responsibilities within the warehouse.
