About the position
The Warehouser position at BD involves supporting the Rubber Department by transporting, organizing, and supplying materials to ensure continuous production. The role includes machine loading and minor machine repairs, contributing to the overall efficiency of the production process.
Responsibilities
- Unload trucks and verify counts against bill of lading/packing slips.
- Stack materials on pallets or other storage mediums for inventory in the Raw Materials Warehouse.
- Verify part ID and quantity of all incoming materials and appropriately mark goods prior to storage.
- Pull and locate materials for storage according to SAP requisition or Apriso transactions from Manufacturing.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers as necessary using hand tools.
- Retrieve raw materials from warehouse storage racks using FIFO system and deliver materials to requesting departments.
- Transport finished goods from post-sterilization storage to the Shipping Department.
- Maintain records of all shipping transactions and document on Load List.
- Perform duties to maintain a cycle count accuracy level of 98% and conduct monthly cycle counts.
- Perform daily safety checks of powered equipment and adhere to safety practices as detailed in forklift operator training.
- Handle waste drum transfer requests for non-hazardous and hazardous drums for all departments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Warehouse experience required.
- Forklift driving experience required.
- Proven understanding of SAP and Apriso transactions.
