About the position
The Warehousing Maintenance Manager at Tyson Sales and Distribution is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant maintenance coordination. This role involves leading and directing maintenance technicians, ensuring a well-trained and motivated staff, and managing maintenance policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment. The manager will also oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment, support the company's FSQA policies, and quickly assess problems to minimize production downtime.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct maintenance technicians in their daily tasks.
- Foster a well-trained and motivated maintenance staff.
- Direct and coordinate maintenance policies and procedures.
- Manage and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- Support the company's FSQA policies related to maintenance functions.
- Quickly assess problems to minimize downtime of production.
Requirements
- Associates degree or college program certificate; or 5+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor with direct reports preferred.
- Ability to lead, direct, evaluate, and train a staff of direct reports.
- Experience in diagnosing basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems.
- Promote a 'Safety First' culture among staff.
- Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant.
- Basic PLC experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook at the intermediate level.
