About the position

As a Warhead Design & Test Engineer at Anduril Industries, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of advanced warheads and missile systems. Your primary responsibility will be to transition these systems from prototype to production, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for military applications. You will utilize your expertise in mechanical and aerospace engineering to analyze the lethality and performance of these systems through hand calculations, such as Gurney equations, and advanced multi-physics simulation tools including CTH, Sierra, and Zapotec. In addition to design work, you will manage the field testing of munitions products from start to finish. This includes project planning, designing experiments, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during testing. You will be responsible for capturing test video, compiling data from both ground and flight tests, and conducting thorough analyses of the results to inform future designs. Your hands-on experience will also involve assembling and disassembling explosive test articles and precision targets, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and effectively. This position requires a strong commitment to the mission of defending the United States and its allies, as well as the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
