About the position

The Warper/Creeler position at Workforce Unlimited involves setting up and operating warping and creeling equipment to prepare yarn for weaving or knitting processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and efficiency of yarn preparation, requiring attention to detail and mechanical knowledge of textile machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up warping machines to wind yarn from cones or spools onto warp beams according to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different yarn types and production requirements.
• Inspect finished warp beams for defects and make necessary corrections.
• Load yarn cones or spools onto creel stands in preparation for the warping process.
• Ensure yarn is threaded correctly through guides and tension devices.
• Replace empty or defective yarn cones/spools as needed during the warping process.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of yarn and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Inspect yarn and warp beams visually and physically to detect any defects or inconsistencies.
• Record production data and maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
• Follow quality control procedures to meet industry standards and customer specifications.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Participate in safety training sessions and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
