About the position

The Warranty Administrator at Van Keppel is responsible for managing warranty claims for various manufacturers, ensuring accurate processing and communication across departments. This role involves analyzing warranty work orders, creating claims, and maintaining relationships with warranty personnel, all while meeting recovery percentage goals and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Analyze warranty work orders and verify warranty coverage.
• Communicate with other departments about major changes to work orders and any irregularities.
• Create warranty claims to manufacturers such as Volvo, Hyundai, ASTEC, and Etnyre.
• Manage approximately $500,000 to $700,000 in warranty claims per year.
• Monitor and assist in resolving discrepancies with Parts Return Requests (PRRs).
• Administer claims by accepting settlements, resubmitting claims, and monitoring open claims with manufacturers.
• Develop rapport with manufacturers' warranty personnel.
• Maintain Recovery Percentage goals.
• Mentor Warranty Tech I as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years related warranty processing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer skills and typing efficiency.
• Excellent organizational and time management habits.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to assist team members when needed.
• Self-starter and motivated to complete tasks efficiently without compromising service quality or integrity.

Nice-to-haves

• Clerical experience is a plus!
• Construction and paving product knowledge.
• Experience in product support with technical expertise of mechanical and labor time requirements.
