About the position

The Warranty Billing & Accounts Receivable position at our Rosedale, MD location is a full-time role focused on supporting the warranty department in various capacities. The primary responsibilities include handling billing processes, managing collections, applying payments, and reconciling accounts. The role also involves taking service calls to set up appointments and ensuring that all aspects of the warranty process are executed efficiently. This position is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring that all warranty-related transactions are processed accurately and timely. As part of a fast-paced commercial kitchen equipment repair company, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills and interpersonal communication abilities. Attention to detail is essential, as the role requires the ability to multi-task effectively while managing various tasks related to warranty billing and accounts receivable. The position may also involve moderate warehouse work, including the handling of used and defective parts, which may be dirty or greasy. While experience in the service or repair industry is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Teamwork is a vital aspect of this role, as collaboration with colleagues is necessary to meet departmental goals and provide excellent service to our clients. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and the successful candidate will be expected to adhere to these hours. This position offers a competitive salary of $19 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance starting on the first of the month after hire, paid vacation, and a 401(k) plan with discretionary company matching. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the warranty department including billing, collection, and payment application.
  • Take service calls for setting up appointments.
  • Perform account and billing reconciliation.
  • Handle collection calls and manage customer inquiries.
  • Engage in moderate warehouse work, including returning used and defective parts.

Requirements

  • Experience with collection calls.
  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Experience in service/repair or related industry is preferred but not necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
