About the position

The Warranty Clerk at M&D Distributors plays a crucial role in managing warranty claims and ensuring timely processing of warranty issues related to both internally produced and externally purchased products. This position involves direct interaction with customers and vendors, facilitating the warranty process from start to finish, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and facilitate the timely processing of warranty claims for both internally produced and externally purchased products.
• Interface with customers by answering incoming calls and handling various customer-driven issues.
• Responsible for vendor shipments and making shipping arrangements.
• Provide return documents to customers and assist with any customer-related demands in the warranty department.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years of prior Warranty Administration experience.
• Experience with the diagnostic and repairs of internal combustion engines.
• Excellent PC skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Applies sound judgement when making decisions.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.
