About the position
The Warranty Manager at McCall Homes is responsible for managing warranty claims administration and coordinating customer communication related to after-construction processes. This role involves overseeing the scheduling and performance of warranty work, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining service quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage computer-based service program.
- Understand principles of customer service and recognize the need for a high level of response.
- Communicate and project a caring attitude to customers and employees through various forms of communication.
- Update the customer service system daily and maintain accuracy of reporting tools.
- Coordinate scheduling of customer service work with homeowners and vendor partners.
- Take disciplinary action against subcontractors for service request failures when necessary.
- Review quality of homes and ensure zero defects before accepting them into warranty.
- Evaluate customer service reports for product improvements and customer satisfaction perception.
- Communicate results of customer service evaluations to senior management for action.
- Perform initial warranty walkthrough with homeowners upon closing.
- Assist in revisions to the warranty program to enhance public image.
- Manage 30-50 service order requests simultaneously.
Requirements
- 5 years of customer service experience.
- 5 years of experience in residential construction.
- Technical construction ability to manage resources and diagnose field problems.
- Ability to handle conflicts professionally and resolve issues with people.
- Ability to perform and train others on service issues and basic construction repair techniques.
- Highly organized with scheduling and dispatching skills.
- Computer aptitude and willingness to learn service data tracking software.
