The successful candidate will be responsible for performing warranty service work in Central Jacksonville, which includes making service calls to homes and conducting quality assurance checks on new home construction projects. The role involves a variety of tasks related to finish carpentry, including the repair and installation of exterior and interior doors, trim, and door hardware. Technicians will be expected to have a solid understanding of finish carpentry techniques and be able to read and comprehend construction blueprints. The position requires a good work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with homeowners and team members. In addition to technical skills, the Warranty Service Technician must possess a dependable work truck and their own tools, including an air compressor, miter saw, nail gun, and screw gun. The work environment can be challenging, as technicians will be exposed to the elements and required to perform physical tasks. Responsibilities

  • Perform warranty service work on exterior and interior doors, trim, and door hardware.
  • Make service calls to homes and conduct quality assurance checks on new home construction projects.
  • Repair reported issues by homeowners, including adjustments to doors and installation of trim.
  • Read and comprehend construction blueprints and submittal data.
  • Utilize general computer applications such as Windows, Word, and Excel for documentation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience in residential construction.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Strong understanding of finish carpentry techniques and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and documents.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with power tools and hand tools used in carpentry.
  • Familiarity with construction safety practices and protocols.
