About the position

The Millwright position at Enscicon involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in a client's facility during a long-term outage project in Western Washington. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality, with OSHA 10 certification being mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine proper work procedures.
  • Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to specifications.
  • Align machines and equipment using precision measuring tools and techniques.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other tradespeople to complete projects and repairs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a millwright or in a similar mechanical role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
  • OSHA 10

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with specific types of machinery used in power generation facilities.
  • Certification in rigging, welding, or other related trades.
