About The Position
This position is responsible for following all procedures and guidelines to ensure that the effluent permit limits are met while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The individual will oversee the daily operation and maintenance of wastewater systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Key tasks include monitoring and maintaining the operation of the wastewater system, filling chemical tanks as needed, and performing tests on water to adjust chemical dosages to achieve required results. The role also involves accurately recording and filing all lab data, monitoring and regulating the flow of water, and taking samples of wastewater for testing, along with completing the necessary paperwork. Maintaining the stability of the wastewater system in accordance with ADEM/EPA requirements is crucial. The position requires training in Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Additionally, the role necessitates performing mathematical calculations and completing computerized reports. The work environment can be cold and wet during winter months and hot and wet during summer months.
