About the position

As a Wastewater Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and construction management of water and wastewater treatment systems. This position involves working closely with local and regional municipal clients to address complex water and wastewater challenges. You will be responsible for the design, permitting, and construction of various municipal utility projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will be essential in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including transmission pipelines, water and reclaimed water distribution systems, storage systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and treatment facility upgrades. In this role, you will conduct field investigations, prepare engineering reports, and develop cost estimates. You will also be involved in the preparation and review of design plans and technical specifications, providing field representation and office assistance throughout the construction phase. Your knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, WaterGEMS, and SewerGEMs will be vital in executing these responsibilities effectively. Responsibilities

  • Planning, design & construction management of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Working on projects with local and regional municipal clients to solve complex water and wastewater challenges.
  • Assisting in the design, permitting & construction of municipal utility projects.
  • Conducting field investigations and preparing engineering reports.
  • Project permitting, cost estimates, and development and review of design plans and technical specifications.
  • Providing field representation and office assistance throughout construction.
  • Designing & project managing multiple projects including transmission pipelines, water & reclaimed water distribution, storage systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and treatment facility/process upgrades.

Requirements

  • 3-10+ years of water/wastewater design, permitting & construction experience; PE or on track to obtain it.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, local & industry laws, regulations & permitting requirements.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMs.
