About The Position

The Wastewater Operator at Wayne-Sanderson Farms is responsible for ensuring the quality control of the biological wastewater system. This role involves monitoring compliance with State EPD regulatory requirements and performing preventative and routine maintenance on wastewater systems. The operator will work in accordance with company policies and various regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial/commercial wastewater treatment facility.
• Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a production environment.
• Pass NOCTI Mechanical Level 1 prior to applying for the position.
• Valid Driver's License with a demonstrated safe driving record required.
• Willingness to work towards GA Waste Water Level III license (attend training and take test).
• Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical wastewater system equipment such as pumps, motors, and electrical components under minimal supervision.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including adjusting and replacing belts and changing oil in pumps to ensure optimal working condition.
• Measure and monitor wastewater chemicals and report variances to appropriate personnel.
• Operate pumps, dewatering equipment, compressors, and chemical feed equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping tasks for work area, tools, equipment, facilities, and grounds.
• Work in compliance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
