About the position

As a Wastewater Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering wastewater treatment processes that meet specific project requirements and adhere to regulatory standards. Your role will involve continuously evaluating and optimizing these processes to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance environmental performance. You will investigate and resolve operational issues, equipment failures, and process upsets to ensure uninterrupted wastewater treatment operations. Additionally, you will prepare detailed engineering reports, process documentation, and regulatory reports as required by project needs and regulatory agencies. In your capacity as a data scientist, you will identify relevant data sources and implement automated data collection processes. You will perform preprocessing and quality control on both structured and unstructured data, conducting in-depth analysis of vast datasets to uncover valuable trends and patterns. Your work will involve developing predictive models and machine-learning algorithms that provide benefits to clients and contribute to environmental sustainability. You will employ ensemble modeling techniques to effectively combine multiple models and collaborate closely with Jacobs' extensive team of subject matter experts and solution development teams. Your innovative technical solutions and strategies will address complex business challenges, including the creation of digital twin applications. Telecommuting is allowed, providing flexibility in your work environment.
