About the position

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a motivated Wastewater Process Engineer to support wastewater process projects across California. This role involves working alongside senior engineers and project teams to apply engineering techniques in developing solutions for wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. The position emphasizes innovation and sustainability in engineering practices, contributing to impactful projects in the field of wastewater management.

Responsibilities

  • Support detailed design and project management of small to large civil infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment processes and plants.
  • Participate in design and optimization of wastewater treatment processes to improve efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project leads on engineering projects related to wastewater treatment, including system design, upgrades, and expansions.
  • Act as assistant to project leaders where needed.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and compliance status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in wastewater treatment engineering.
  • Practical professional engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year; license in one or multiple states preferred.
  • Understanding of wastewater process experience, regulations, and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
