About the position

The Wastewater Process Lead Engineer at Kennedy Jenks Consultants is a key role responsible for leading and managing wastewater process projects. This position requires advanced engineering techniques and analysis to develop innovative solutions for clients while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The engineer will also mentor staff and contribute to business development efforts, focusing on sustainable and efficient wastewater treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects focused on detailed design and project management of civil infrastructure projects, including wastewater treatment processes and plants.
• Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes to maximize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
• Guide and mentor staff in feasibility studies, facility plans, and process pilot testing for complex wastewater projects.
• Support client service managers and business development efforts as a technical subject matter expert in meetings and project interviews.
• Participate in project pursuits and interviews, developing treatment process innovations and technical approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in wastewater treatment engineering.
• Practical professional engineer (PE) license required; license in multiple states preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of the water/wastewater industry and wastewater process experience.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Design-Build experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
