About the position

The WaterBabies Swim Instructor position involves teaching swim classes to children aged 0-3 years, as well as to adults, at the WaterBabies Aquatic Center and Bellevue Aquatic Center. The role requires individuals who are enthusiastic about water and enjoy working with children and adults. Instructors will receive paid training and have the opportunity to earn competitive salaries based on experience and hours worked.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim classes to children and adults in the WaterBabies, WaterKids, Youth, and Adult swim programs.
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with students and their parents regarding progress and safety.
• Maintain organization and attention to detail in class preparation and execution.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Requirements

• Previous swim instruction experience is helpful but not required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Availability to work a minimum of 15-20 hours a week.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience teaching swimming (1 year preferred).
• Experience working with children (1 year required).
• Lifeguard training (preferred).
