About the position

The Water Park Guest Services Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests while ensuring the efficient operation of the front desk and guest services area. This role involves welcoming guests, handling inquiries and complaints, managing cash and credit transactions, and maintaining a professional and friendly atmosphere. The specialist plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operation of the front desk area and maintain a welcoming presence.
  • Acknowledge guests, requests, and questions immediately.
  • Provide excellent customer service that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Address guest requests and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries and reservations.
  • Follow proper cash and credit card handling procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork and cash out procedures accurately.
  • Communicate necessary information to guests to maximize satisfaction and revenue potential.
  • Maintain knowledge of all systems used at the front office, including POS and phone systems.
  • Ensure hotel equipment is maintained and secured properly.
  • Understand and follow emergency plans and safety procedures.
  • Provide input on front office operations and participate in training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service or guest relations.
  • Aptitude for cash counting and handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to pass competency or skills-based training for the department.
  • Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hospitality or service-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and front office operations.
