About the position

This entry-level position at Granite Construction involves providing assistance to Pump Installers on water resources projects. The role is designed for individuals looking to gain experience in the construction industry while working with various types of equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to operators on water pump installation projects
• Operate and service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps and various other types of equipment
• Work as part of a crew but also expected to work without supervision to accomplish tasks if required
• Complete basic daily paperwork
• Drive as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to obtain a minimum class B (preferably class A) CDL
• Experience in outdoor construction or related type work preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug screen (DOT level) and physical
• Must possess adequate mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, customers, and vendors

Nice-to-haves

• Construction and Welding experience preferred
