About the position

Trihydro Corporation is seeking an entry-to-mid-level Water Resource Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Natural Resources Business Unit. The role involves evaluating and developing surface and groundwater resources for various applications, including agricultural, municipal, and industrial water supplies, as well as flood control and environmental uses. The engineer will perform technical research, design calculations, data analysis, and modeling, while also preparing construction plans, specifications, and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with evaluating and developing surface and groundwater resources.
  • Perform technical research and design calculations.
  • Conduct data analysis and geomorphological assessments.
  • Engage in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Collect field data and draft figures.
  • Prepare construction plan sets and specifications.
  • Write technical memorandums and reports, and permit applications.
  • Develop cost estimates.

Requirements

  • 0-5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, natural resources, or related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Degree coursework focused on hydrology/hydraulics.
  • Engineer-in-training (E.I.T.) or plans to obtain E.I.T. within 6 months.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or plans to obtain P.E. in the future.
  • Strong initiative to complete tasks and motivation to learn.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to handle assignments and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SewerGems, GIS, or other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software is preferred, but not required.
