About the position

Our client is seeking a Water Resources Civil Engineer for their Center Valley, PA office to execute technical work assignments on water resources jobs, primarily focusing on potable water and wastewater for municipalities, within Land Development/Municipal engineering projects. This role involves working individually or as part of a project team under the direction of a professional engineer. The engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations. The position requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, particularly in the areas of water resource management and municipal engineering. The engineer will also engage in site investigations, construction observation, and field reconnaissance to gather data and assess project requirements. Additionally, the role includes preparing necessary documentation for federal and state regulatory permits, as well as developing bid plans and specifications for projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to effectively prepare reports, applications, and studies, and will be adept at building and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Execute technical work assignments on water resources jobs focusing on potable water and wastewater for municipalities.
  • Work individually or as part of a project team under the direction of a professional engineer.
  • Assist with preparing Federal and State regulatory permit applications and plans.
  • Prepare bid plans and specifications for projects.
  • Compose letters, memoranda, reports, applications, and studies related to water resources engineering.
  • Perform site investigations, construction observation, and field reconnaissance.
  • Review private development plans for compliance with applicable authority water and sewer standards.
  • Assist Project Manager in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT/PE or close to obtaining.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • At least 1+ year of civil engineering experience, such as planning, investigations, reporting, water resource conveyance, storage, and/or treatment design.
  • Ability to assist with preparing Federal and State regulatory permit applications and plans.
  • Skill in preparing bid plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in composing letters, memoranda, reports, applications, and studies.
  • Capability to perform site investigations, construction observation, and field reconnaissance.
  • Adeptness in reviewing private development plans for compliance with applicable authority water and sewer standards.
  • Ability to assist Project Manager to establish new and maintain existing relationships with clients, subcontractors, etc.
