About the position

The Water Resources Engineer I position at RS&H, Inc. is a full-time role that involves working within the infrastructure team to prepare project specifications, documents, and analyses. The engineer will engage in design, planning, and impact studies, while also providing technical guidance to junior staff. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project specifications and complete project documents.
• Analyze and interpret data related to water resources engineering.
• Perform design, planning, and impact studies, including cost analyses and site selection.
• Design complete projects, systems, components, and processes.
• Conduct quality control reviews and field observations of ongoing construction projects.
• Provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff.
• Manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in water resources engineering.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
• Proficiency in production software and construction document production.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
