About the position

The Water Restoration Technician is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and completing tasks related to water restoration jobs. This role involves ensuring the completion of drying, demolition, and various restoration activities while preparing documentation for insurance reimbursement. The technician will explain processes to customers and ensure quality control throughout the job.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders and check travel routes.
• Ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck for the job.
• Explain processes used to complete active jobs to customers in person.
• Complete assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control.
• Perform water damage mitigation including water extraction and light construction as directed by the supervisor.
• Use proper drying equipment to dry out structures and materials.
• Inspect jobs after completion and obtain customer signatures for approval.
• Make daily adjustments to the drying plan based on meter readings.
• Resolve issues with customers and communicate job activities with supervisors and key staff.
• Prepare documentation and pictures according to company policies for insurance reimbursement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Experience with using mobile software to enter data.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the restoration or construction industry (preferred).
• Certifications such as WTR - Water Damage Restoration Technician or ASD - Applied Structural Drying Technician (preferred).
