About the position

The Water Treatment Account Manager is responsible for managing an assigned sales territory or account portfolio, focusing on business development and sales growth. This role involves creating and executing a business plan to achieve annual performance goals, maintaining customer relationships, and providing tailored chemical solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a sales territory, focusing on business development and sales growth.
  • Obtain new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Improve gross margins through effective sales strategies.
  • Survey plants to determine best-in-class solutions and offer unique chemical programs.
  • Write timely chemical treatment proposals and service reports.
  • Effectively manage time and territory to maximize productive activities.

Requirements

  • College education preferred, with a technical or engineering degree being a plus.
  • 5+ years of sales experience or industry management.
  • Ability to construct a business plan with assistance from the Sales Manager.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and job-specific software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior sales experience in the water treatment industry is preferred.
