About the position

Epstein is seeking a licensed Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with 5-15 years of practical experience in wastewater treatment facility design. The role involves project management, including schedule, budget, and cost control, while coordinating with various building design disciplines. The ideal candidate will manage a qualified team, interact with clients, and collaborate with the management team at Epstein.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design water/wastewater projects including wastewater collection systems, lift stations, force mains, treatment facilities, and booster stations.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with clients, government agencies, utility providers, and other outside entities.
  • Identify applicable codes, standards, or other design requirements.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-15 years of successful project engineering in the design of wastewater facilities.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Expertise in engineering systems and related design principles.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to wastewater treatment and environmental protection including IBC and ACI.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analysis methods.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • Considerable experience in dealing with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Experience with REVIT, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools.
