About the position

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to oversee project teams in Miami, FL. The role involves supervising team members, managing project scope, budget, and schedule, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering projects and strong leadership skills to guide the team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all team members working on the project, providing clear guidance regarding technical responsibilities, budget, and schedule.
  • Partner with the principal in charge during proposal preparation to define project scope, budget, schedule, and staffing.
  • Understand client critical success factors and prepare an effective project management plan during project startup.
  • Administer the project in the Ajera project management system, ensuring accurate project setup information.
  • Ensure all team members understand their roles, tasks, schedule, and budget.
  • Be available to team members for clarifications and consult with the principal in charge when necessary.
  • Monitor project progress regarding scope, budget, schedule, and quality/performance during execution, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Review project financials weekly and conduct monthly project reviews with the Principal-in-Charge.
  • Provide project team leadership and ensure technical, financial, and schedule delivery excellence.
  • Manage client relations and ensure service delivery to the client.
  • Be accountable for all aspects of the project from initiation through closeout, including risk management and proactive change management.
  • Ensure prompt invoicing and collection, and develop innovative solutions to add value to clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the design/construction of Civil Engineering Projects (utilities, land development, transportation).
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Relevant technical expertise in civil engineering.
  • Expertise using the Ajera Project Management Software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately.
  • Strong project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineer (Florida) license or availability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Completion of 300 PM basic training (currently PSMJ boot-camp).
