About the position

The position is responsible for the administration and execution of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, profitably, and on time. The role involves managing multiple projects of varying complexity and contract amounts, establishing professional relationships with stakeholders, and participating in business development activities. The position offers a progression from Step I to Step II, with increasing responsibilities based on experience and project size.

Responsibilities

  • Champions the orderly, timely transition of projects from the estimating phase to the field.
  • Completes close-out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with the Project Superintendent the means and methods required for the successful and profitable execution of the work.
  • Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Has overall responsibility for project success, including safety, schedule, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manages all billings to ensure timely submission of payment applications and collection of payments.
  • Manages the development of the overall CPM schedule with the Project Superintendent(s).
  • Participates in preparation and review of estimates with attention to cost control, equipment requirements, and constructability.
  • Participates in the business development process including client contact, relationships, proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Prepares the Monthly Progress Report in coordination with the Superintendent(s).
  • Responsible for the timely review of purchase orders and subcontracts prepared by the estimating department.
  • Responsible for understanding and administering prime contract terms and conditions.
  • Reviews and executes all change orders, supplements, and cost control budget adjustments.
  • Verifies agreements are executed with insurance in place prior to any subcontractor starting work onsite.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing construction projects with thorough knowledge of contract documents and scheduling systems.
  • Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
