The Water Well Driller position in Washington State involves overseeing the safety and productivity of crew members and machinery during the installation of water wells. The role includes job site supervision, project management, and the operation of drill rigs and heavy machinery. Responsibilities also encompass daily maintenance of equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records of drilling activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of two or more full-time employees.
• Maintain records of footage drilled, location and nature of strata penetrated, materials and tools used, services rendered, and time required.
• Direct rig crews in drilling and other activities, such as setting up rigs to drill, constructing wells, or servicing/rehabilitating wells.
• Monitor progress of drilling operations and adjust drilling processes as conditions change.
• Verify underground utilities and inspect for overhead utilities.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to drilling activities.
• Assist with the collection, labeling, and storing of samples.
• Operate machinery to drill and install wells.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintain a clean and presentable workplace.
• Document geological formations encountered during drilling.
• Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on drilling rig and equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience in mechanical knowledge.
