About the position

The Waterworks Operations Manager at Ferguson is responsible for leading business operations in Northern California, focusing on customer-facing associates and branch functions. This role emphasizes operational efficiency, compliance with organizational standards, and the development of branch managers and associates. The manager will implement processes to maintain market share, ensure safety and security, and identify cost-saving opportunities while representing the organization to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through effective management.
• Collaborates with key leaders to strengthen business operations.
• Implements improvements in processes, systems, or products.
• Maintains company policies and operational efficiency improvements.
• Leads the internal audit process for compliance with standards.
• Analyzes data to recommend actions for data-driven decisions.
• Ensures safety and security of the branch in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Supports the development of branch managers and operations managers through coaching.
• Implements processes to maintain and grow market share and customer loyalty.
• Identifies new opportunities for cost savings.
• Facilitates and develops SOPs for the organization.
• Participates in leadership meetings to represent associate concerns.
• Conducts regular meetings with associates and branch leadership.
• Represents the organization to customers and leadership as needed.
• Grows market operationally through facility management and HR moves.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years management/leadership experience preferred, with inventory/operational tasks.
• Advanced ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to various organizational levels.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills to respond to urgent situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
