About the position

The Waterworks Operations Manager at Ferguson Enterprises is responsible for leading business operations in Northern California, focusing on customer-facing associates and branch functions. This role aims to support enterprise business and sales objectives while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with organizational standards. The manager will also play a key role in developing branch managers and fostering a culture of growth and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through effective management.
  • Collaborates with key leaders to build and strengthen business operations.
  • Responsible for improving processes, systems, or products.
  • Implements and maintains company policies.
  • Implements operational efficiency improvements, including standardization of systems and quality control.
  • Leads the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Develops and recommends specific courses of action based on data analysis.
  • Maintains safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Supports the development of branch managers through coaching and mentoring.
  • Leads associates to maintain and grow market share and customer loyalty.
  • Identifies new opportunities for cost savings.
  • Facilitates and develops SOPs for the organization.
  • Participates in leadership meetings and represents associate concerns to management.
  • Conducts regular associate and branch leadership meetings.
  • Represents the organization to customers and leadership as needed.
  • Grows market operationally through facility additions and HR moves.
  • Manages facility maintenance needs for business and market requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years management/leadership experience preferred, with inventory/operational tasks.
  • Advanced ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to various organizational levels.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills to respond to urgent situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
