About the position
The WCS Developer role involves developing features for a global eCommerce website, creating technical design documents, and ensuring adherence to software development standards. The position requires collaboration with other departments and providing application support for production components.
Responsibilities
- Develop features for a global eCommerce website.
- Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for work breakdown schedules.
- Document and execute unit and integration tests.
- Define and implement standards and best practices for software development.
- Participate in code review sessions in various roles.
- Support the needs and requirements of other I.S. departments.
- Provide 3rd-level application support for production installed components.
- Maintain regular and reliable workplace attendance.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience with Web and UI development using HTML, JavaScript, React, and CSS.
- Minimum 4 years' experience developing in a distributed application environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a development lead on major projects.
- Working knowledge of Java, EJB, JMS, JSP, Web Services, SOAP, and XML technologies.
- Experience programming in one major database: DB2, MS SQL, or Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented concepts and applied UML experience.
- Experience leading at least one project through a formal software development lifecycle.
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to WCS is a plus.
