About the position

The Workplace Design and Services Regional Operations Director at DTCC will oversee the operational management of the company's real estate portfolio in the Dallas Metro Area. This role is crucial for ensuring the readiness and maintenance of critical physical infrastructure, managing operational and capital budgets, and implementing strategies for cost reduction and service improvement. The position requires collaboration with various teams to maintain compliance and optimize operations, while also providing leadership and mentorship to staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and readiness of critical physical infrastructure including UPS, HVAC, and emergency generators.
  • Oversee project tracking and control, including equipment testing and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Develop and manage operational and capital budgets.
  • Implement and maintain the capital upgrade plan for all buildings and critical systems.
  • Identify strategies to reduce operational costs and improve service levels.
  • Respond to and supervise emergency situations, conducting root cause analysis and system repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and emergency preparedness regulations.
  • Assess and resolve incidents and customer complaints.
  • Develop and implement operations and maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to DTCC standards and financial policies.
  • Collaborate to maintain ISO multi-site certifications for Energy and Environmental Management.
  • Partner with Data Center Operations and Security to optimize the operating model.
  • Perform personnel functions including interviewing, evaluating, and training staff.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced labor and third-party suppliers.
  • Mitigate risks by following established procedures and demonstrating ethical behavior.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or technical work experience in operating critical facilities.
  • Experience with Data Center Electrical/Mechanical infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to understand MEP drawings with proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with Facility Management principles.
