About the position

The Data Architect role at Bravens Inc. involves leading and supporting various data initiatives within the organization. This position is crucial for ensuring optimal data delivery architecture across ongoing projects, particularly in the healthcare sector, specifically in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM). The Data Architect will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive organizational data strategy, optimizing data flow, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the enterprise data system.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives.
  • Expand and optimize data and data pipeline architecture.
  • Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams in alignment with architectural governance and standards.
  • Develop and implement an overall organizational data strategy in line with business processes, particularly in healthcare and PBM.
  • Design data models, establish database development standards, and manage data warehouses and analytics systems.
  • Identify internal and external data sources and create a data management plan aligned with the organizational data strategy.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
  • Manage end-to-end data architecture, including platform selection, technical architecture design, application development, testing, and implementation.
  • Define and manage the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
  • Integrate technical functionality to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize data pipelines to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure storage, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • 5+ years of experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • 5+ years of experience with Azure monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to write, debug, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC), PowerShell, and Azure CLI scripts.
  • Understanding of Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Azure Gateways, S2S VPN, and Azure ExpressRoute.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and hands-on experience with Azure security tools like Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, Purview, and Azure Firewall.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs using Azure Cost Management and third-party tools.
