Our advisor-led wealth management businesses provide financial planning, investment management, banking and comprehensive advice to a wide range of clients, including ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, as well as family offices, foundations and endowments, and corporations and their employees. Our consumer business provides digital solutions for customers to better spend, borrow, invest, and save. Across Wealth Management, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and customers, and leading-edge technology, data and design. The Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides end to end Investment Management services and advice across a large range of asset classes for high net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools, and applications to onboard clients. Our software helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service. The Private Wealth Management Group (PWM) within GS develops and manages relationships with wealthy individuals and family groups, advising them on ways in which to build and protect their financial assets through equity, fixed income, alternative investments and other financial instruments. The successful candidate will join the global PWM Digital Client Experience Team. We develop digital solutions to help clients connect and engage with Goldman Sachs. We work closely with our business partners to streamline business workflows and drive growth. In this role you will explore public and private cloud, networks, storage, compute, big data, application messaging and more. Our engineers work on a variety of challenging problems from building our data infrastructure, to implementing public and private cloud-based solutions, to providing seamless, on-demand scaling of our applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with wealthy individuals and family groups.
  • Advise clients on building and protecting their financial assets.
  • Create digital solutions to enhance client engagement with Goldman Sachs.
  • Streamline business workflows in collaboration with business partners.
  • Work on data infrastructure and cloud-based solutions.
  • Implement scalable applications for client services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 2-3 years of software development experience.
  • Excellent object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and managing multiple stakeholders in a global team.
  • Entrepreneurial approach and passion for problem solving and product development.
  • Expert knowledge in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with responsive web development, particularly with React/Angular/Redux and advanced JavaScript proficiency.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elastic Search.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge or interest in trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
