About the position

ANSER is seeking a Weapons Systems Analyst to support programs in Reston, VA. The role involves analyzing and assessing current and future foreign weapon systems, both lethal and non-lethal. This includes a comprehensive evaluation of system capabilities, vulnerabilities, production, stockpile, deployment proliferation, and the overall impact on U.S. and Coalition forces worldwide. The analyst will be responsible for preparing analytic products that inform the U.S. National, Defense, and Acquisition Communities about developments in foreign weapon systems. This position is critical in enhancing national and homeland security by providing independent analysis and practical solutions to complex issues related to weapon systems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that the analysis is thorough and actionable, contributing to the overall mission of ANSER in strengthening public institutions and enhancing security.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess current and future foreign weapon systems, including lethal and non-lethal systems.
• Evaluate system capabilities, vulnerabilities, production, stockpile, and deployment proliferation.
• Prepare analytic products to inform the U.S. National, Defense, and Acquisition Communities about foreign weapon system developments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive analysis and actionable insights.
• Support programs related to national and homeland security.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years focused in Cyber.
• Consideration for an additional 4 years of experience in Cyber in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
