About the position

The Weapons Integration Systems Engineer will lead the integration of advanced defense systems for airborne and ground platforms, focusing on mission computers, avionics, and sensors. This role involves working as a technical leader within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) from concept development to final validation, ensuring product excellence and team productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of advanced systems for airborne and ground platforms.
• Work as a technical leader within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Drive product excellence and team productivity through modern development processes.
• Develop technical baselines including requirements and architecture.
• Lead requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.
• Manage suppliers and oversee the development of subsystems and components.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to multi-discipline teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including leading design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8 years of experience in systems engineering or related roles.
• Experience leading systems engineering tasks and cross-product activities.
• Experience developing technical baselines and Engineering Change Requests.
• Experience in military avionics systems or similarly complex systems integration.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and design reviews.
• In-depth understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Universal Armament Interface (UAI) standards.
• Experience with RFP and systems support.
