About the position

The Weather Radio Specialist position at Inalab Consulting involves supporting the NOAA National Weather Service's Office of Dissemination by managing configuration activities for the Weather Radio All Hazards system. The role requires a mid-level professional with a strong background in telecommunications and radio networks, focusing on ensuring quality deliverables and effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform Configuration Management activities for NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR).
• Provide administrative support for operations and maintenance tasks.
• Deliver quality assured technical and administrative documentation related to system configurations.
• Submit change requests and document resolutions to issues.
• Conduct routine configuration management tasks with minimal supervision.
• Collect and maintain data associated with the configuration management system.
• Track modifications and changes in dissemination systems databases.
• Coordinate and document activities of the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
• Contribute to team efforts in resolving dissemination systems tasks and meeting performance objectives.
• Provide weekly updates to the Team Lead and Government Task Managers on assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Radio Networks, Telecommunications, Internet Technology, Very High Frequency Radio Transmitters, or Monitoring and Control Systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience at NOAA NWS is a plus.
