About the position

The Web and Database Developer position at the Indiana University Center for Survey Research involves developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and database applications to support survey projects and internal management needs. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performing websites and web applications, including back-end and front-end solutions.
• Develop and maintain databases with a focus on performance, security, and stability.
• Design, develop, test, and support survey-related technical applications.
• Test technical applications for performance, functionality, and quality assurance.
• Consult with stakeholders to review existing websites and develop new functionalities.
• Document website and web application development efforts, including changes and issue resolutions.
• Act as a liaison between design teams and stakeholders to ensure optimal functionality and security of applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years of full stack web development or related experience.
• Strong experience with web and database applications, including object-oriented programming languages such as ColdFusion or C#, and web frameworks such as ASP.NET.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (jQuery) and Microsoft SQL Server.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with statistical software such as R, SPSS, or Stata.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience with survey software programs such as Qualtrics or REDCap.
