About the position

The Web and Digital & Interactive Media Specialist II (Annual Giving Coordinator) at Tennessee Tech University is responsible for generating annual fund support through the development and implementation of a strategic annual giving solicitation plan and calendar. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the university's fundraising efforts and manage multiple giving initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, and grow an annual giving program in collaboration with the Director of the Crawford Alumni Center.
  • Communicate the annual giving plan with the Advancement Division and Alumni Association Board of Directors.
  • Create and maintain an annual giving schedule that includes direct mail, crowdfunding, online giving, and potential phone-a-thon campaigns.
  • Utilize annual giving tools to inform, engage, and solicit current, lapsed, and prospective donors.
  • Monitor, report, and analyze outcomes of annual giving initiatives.
  • Analyze metrics of each annual giving appeal to determine strategies for increasing giving.
  • Create retention and pipeline strategies for leadership annual giving and major giving.
  • Manage all annual giving initiatives including holiday appeals and departmental requests.
  • Manage philanthropic commerce initiatives and Giving Societies such as the President's Club.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and execute annual giving stewardship efforts.
  • Manage digital platforms for university-wide crowdfunding campaigns.
  • Create a marketing plan for digital and print appeals and initiatives.
  • Maintain active written and digital correspondence with all donors.
  • Support University Advancement events and initiatives as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Two years of experience in fundraising, higher education, or non-profit work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Raiser's Edge software.
  • Knowledge of University Advancement policies and procedures.
  • Two years' experience specifically with annual giving.
