About the position

The Web and Digital Interface Designer - Level III will lead the web design team in developing and testing layouts, navigation menus, and functionality for a UX/UI Design and Engineering project with the U.S. Navy. This role emphasizes ensuring compatibility across multiple devices while adhering to Section 508 accessibility standards and best practices. The position is contingent upon the award of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software developers to complete the full scope of the project.
• Conduct user research to determine design requirements and analyze user feedback to improve design quality.
• Document technical factors such as server load, bandwidth, database performance, browser and device types.
• Develop or implement procedures for ongoing website revision.
• Research and apply innovative solutions for product design, visuals, and user experience to meet the needs for the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in web design, computer science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in web and digital interface design.
• Active Dept. of Defense Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS EC2, Transact-SQL, or other database user interface & query software experience.
• jQuery, Apache Spark, or other software development environment tools.
• jUnit or other program testing software experience.
• Bootstrap, React or other web platform development software.
• Active Dept. of Defense Top Secret Clearance.
